About Me

I seem to have a penant for moving to a differenty state every 5 years. I'm the mother of two (giggle giggle...I still haven't gotten use to thinking of myself as such) fabulous little girls. I once lived for shoe shopping and must now be content to look at the shoes that I would love to buy, but now take a back seat to purchasing something for my girls. I love to read, cook, decorate and redecorate, SHOP (I think thats why I have two girls), long dinners with great conversation, and your random scrabble games with free flowing wine. Anything else you need to know is trivial, but feel free to ask.

Career change

So until recently I was a part of the "workforce" the "9 to 5" the "get dolled up for work" part of the population. Now I'm part of the "Mommyforce."

I recently changed my Marketing Specialist title, for the stay at home mom title, and while I find this position all together more fulfilling there are a few quirks with my new position:

1) 9 to 5 does not exists...and neither does overtime
2) My "bosses" while being the cutest things in the world are for the most part highly demanding and unwilling to bend
3) No getting dolled up for work, goodbye heels, hello flip flops
4) While this position is a huge personal promotion for myself, the monetary compensation is shall we say a demotion of sorts (my shoe shopping has greatly plummeted in the past 18 months)

But there is one huge PLUS to my new position, I get to be there for each and every milestone, I get to see their eyes light up when they discover something new, I'm the one that gets to call the hubby and say "guess who took their first steps today!", I'm the one that gets the random hugs and smile that make my insides turn to mush!

The moral of this post: Come on Zappos fulfill my shoe wish list give this mommy some new heels to prance around the house in (my eldest would appreciate this as well), I promise after I'm ready to return to the workforce I will not forget your act of generosity towards this member of the Mommyforce!

Hello there!!!

Well better late than never I always say!

I've been meaning to start a blog for some time now but never found the a) motivation b) time c) content or d) all of the above.

I'll start by saying that I do not have delusions of nobility, The Duchess is my 4 year old Westie, who up until 18 months ago was on top of the word (at least in her little dog mind) that is when we welcomed our first daughter Jordana and more recently (one week ago today) our second daughter Alyssa.

Yes my husband is a very VERY lucky man to be surrounded by so much estrogen...I mean love.

And that pretty much sums me up, I am a wife, a mother (gulp) of two, and everything else in between. I cannot guarantee that my blog will having you bursting at the seems with laughter or sobbing like a baby, but I will always tell it like it is.

Here's to successful blogging, if not theres always knitting :-/
